Thanks Glen,
yes I'm using a low kv motor. I have tested it in a pool with a 2hp 
boat prop & it worked well. I didn't have a housing on the motor, just bare motor
in the pool. I didn't  check the amp draw at the time. So the next stage is testing
it with a housing.
Sounds like you have been having fun. were you tagging the animals or something?
