Re: [PSUBS-MAILIST]

You could pull it through the water with a boat at a given speed and then measure the force using a spring gage in between the pull rope to determine how much force would be required to move it.

G;day Guys,

I am trying to find a model (computer) that I can use to calculate the resistance to movement my sub will experience due to skin friction, displacement etc at various speeds so I can work out what HP engine I need for a desired speed.

Can anyone help with this problem.

What is an achievable maximum speed for a small 2 person 1atm sub?

About 4m long, 1.5m diameter, hemisphere front and convergent tail cone.

Many thanks.

It is really encouraging to heart from people using there subs, it build excitement about ones own!!!
