I purchased my heads from LA Boiler Works  http://www.laboiler.com.  My heads were semi elliptical but I am sure they carry hemispherical as well.

Can anyone give me an idea about a good US source for hemispherical heads. I have a quote for 5/8 steel by 48 inch diameter at $2,600.00. I don't know enough to know if this is a good price or not. Maybe someone has another source I can check.

They've been around a while and have basically the best online machine-shop service in the world from what I've seen.  Very useful.  I've never used em as I have no projects goin at this time, but I plan on it for sure if I have the money to burn.
