Years ago I rode one of the subs off of Kona.  While interesting, the scuba
dive I made the previous day was much better.  Was able to get up close to
the lionfish, turtle, and BIG pod of dolphin.  With the sub everything was
at least arms length away and you were never close to the bottom.  Fish were
attracted the loads of bread released by the divers that rode down with the
sub.  Was interesting to see all of the technology close up of the tourist
sub that I had just completed writing a major paper on for grad school.  I
would take the dive over the sub ride.
