Re: [PSUBS-MAILIST] John Holiday Perry Jr.

Obituary that describes, I'd guess, just a little bit of this man's life:

It was almost a local event, but Uncle John has died week before last at the tender age of 89. If you get the chance, grab a copy of his biography, "Never Say Impossible" and read about a great life. Oscar Wilde (or was it Phillip Wylie?) said that a successful life was marked by many interests, two or three grand passions, and damned few opinions. Well, John Perry had two out of three locked up, and his opinions were strong and well thought out. And besides, he built some of the coolest submarines in the business and I ought to know. Thank you John Perry, and rest well.
Best Regards,
Vance
