I ran across an informative website:  www.powerstream.com

Powerstream sells batteries, chargers, DC/DC converters, etc.  I know that most PSUBS members are more interested in the mechanical aspects, but sooner or later you get down to electrical controls.  I was amazed to find that this website is loaded with practical information, such as wire sizes for chassis wiring (as opposed to insulated in the wall household wiring).

Some of the info I deemed interesting:

     Wire gauge and current limits

     Battery  chemistry tutorial

     Rechargeable battery technology comparison

     Battery charging profiles and recommendations

     Battery sizes and comparison pricing

     Battery capacity and discharge rates

This information is quite detailed and well worth checking out.
