George, you are an absolute genius. I've been struggling with this one for
a bit.

I've made mine out of PVC, warm with a heat gun and then warp it to the
shape you need.

Alec,
As a coincidence, my recent foray into the homebuilt ROV, world had me
come to the same conclusion as to the difficulty of homebuilt Kort nozzles.
I was taking a quick peek at the hovercraft crowd for ideas, when I
stopped to get back to marine studies.

Hope this turns into a viable lead, Doug has some leads on his website
as well.

I've been searching the web for a supplier of Kort nozzles, but all
I can find is custom jobs for ocean going ships. I did find
www.propguardmarine.com, but what I'm really after is known as a Marin 19A
type nozzle, in a size of around 15" ID. I would try and turn a nozzle on
my lathe, but the lathe is a couple of inches too small. Has anyone given
thought to fabrication methods for this other than machining out of solid
material?
thanks,
Alec
