[PSUBS-MAILIST] Propulsion variety

The recent discussion regarding Minn Kotas made me realize that 1) the 
monster Kittredge pods are in fact "Dinosaurs" and 2), what to do about 
fixed, or variable propulsion / thrusters.

It's not easy, despite the penetrations and their entanglement potential, 
those two side thrusters have pretty nifty capability. Here's the updated 
version in the standard K boat positions.....

Vance's comments about PC-14, really made me want to take a look at this 
possibility. Such a large slow turning wheel would be very efficient but, 
the redesign of the vessel goes well beyond what I am willing to take on at 
this point. Here's a look at the K boat with a PC-14 type drive......

Let me tell you, this is an exercise in "sacrifices".....I think I will be 
ordering some of those references Sean mentions..  :)
