I think this was the subject a while ago. Someone was trying for
extra buoyancy at the surface.
I have started my concept ideas, and a thought about using firehose
for a deflatable buoyancy apparatus. I am thinking to coil them under
an out hinged compartment. When pressurized the compartment
would fold out like wings and give me a higher ride and stability.
The fire hoses are all tested at 600psi and are available in several
diameters from 1 to 4 inchs usually 50' long. They also come with these really cool
brass fittings on ends with O rings and neat places to tap in a valve
and an air supply.
