I had considered hydrofoils. If it has been done then it is obviously
viable.
But I am still wondering if one could simply make larger ballast tanks and
add more positive buoyancy to get more of the sub out of the water.
I have been toying with this on the back burner of my mind and in my
doodles.

Also, the AUV on the orignal XXX did the hydrofoil thing if you
remember... I think it was named Ahab.

Subject: [PSUBS-MAILIST] Sitting High
Has anyone explored design options that would allow a psub to sit high
on the surface?
I think it would be interesting to try to build a sub that could ride
high and drive on the surfece in a boat-like manner.
Any opinions/input?
