RE: [PSUBS-MAILIST] bubble pressure

  I think I understand...a low pressure air gage is connected to the upper portion of a pipe tube. The lower end of this tube terminates into the water below the enclosed air bubble of the ambient submarine. As the boat goes deeper, this encapsulated air within this tube compresses and this increase is displayed on the air pressure indicator. This gives you the depth of your boat...
  Am I close?
