If you buy only things like raw steel shapes (plate,
angle, channel,etc.), DC motors, batteries, wire, sheet acrylic, resin and
fabric for fiber glassing, trailer axles and tires, and nuts and bolts stuff, it
will cost you at least $15,000 US to build a K-350 and trailer.
That's what it cost me five years ago. Today
probably $17,000. But I didn't spend a dime for anything other
then having the hull plates rolled round and raw materials.

Welding is no problem, i have formal schooling in welding, its
part of my career. along with electronics, PLC programming, mechanical design
and hydraulics. so as far as cost savings go im safe there:) i was asking
about raw prices

Hi Cody. Welcome to the group. It's very difficult to build a sub from a
completed tank. Generally a lot of the work is done before the ends are
attached. If you're considering building a sub. You'll need to know how to
weld, or your building costs will be very high. I started with mock-ups and
