Alan ** the potentiometer will only be moved through 5k not 10k. If you're still using a 10kOhm pot-meter, then the circuit will not know the difference (only you will :) What I mean is, your rudder's center position will still be aligned with the center position of this 10kOhm pot-meter, right? So the difference (for you) will be that the rudder position indicator stops at the fifth (red or green) LED whenever your rudder is turned all the way to port or starboard.
