I had not even considered that until you mentioned it. Not too shabby Frank...a take on Lakes bottom crawlers.
This particular solution reduces launch draft by the difference of the height of the trailer deck and the subs wheels. You would have to see how much could be gained...still the "mired" potential, but not bad at all actually!

How about putting some wheels on the bottom of your sub ?
They wouldn't need to be very large. Say maybe 8 inches in diameter. Roll the sub off the trailer while still on the ramp, then slowly let out the cable as the sub slips into the drink.
A winch on the trailer keeps the sub from floating away........Frank D.
