With
respect, would it not be fairer to have members nominate there chosen award
recipient and explain why, Psubs circulate a list of nominees and why they
have been nominated and by which member, then ask the membership to vote
accordingly.

Kittredge received a
"Lifetime Achievment Award" in 2001. Check the "2001 Awards" link at http://www.psubs.org/awards/.
Kittredge would definately qualify for a Kittredge Award, but frankly that
seems a little corny to me. I would be more supportive of a "special
recognition" award. Just my two cents.
I would
support a posthumous nomination and award as long as you provided contact
information for a relative of the nominee who would accept the
award.
I
haven't discussed any of this with Ray, but it sounds like we'll need to talk
about it soon.

1. Can I
nominate Kittredge for the Kittredge Award? I don't see that he has
won an award from PSubs.
2. Are
posthumous nominations accepted?
