The USS Bone Fish burned off the cost of Jacksonville Florida in 87 an
overflow of the induction sump whitch shorted the battery contactor starting the
fire I would guess that if they had primary fusing between the battery and the
contactor the fire may have been avoided.
Primary battery fusing is a must, and a secondary (bypass) circuit would be
advisable for Emergancy controls
