I use this system to compensate motor pods on
Explorer. I didn't modify the reg in any way except to
create an adapter that replaces the mouthpiece and
allows hose connections from the mouthpiece opening to
the fittings on the motor housing. The natural change
in pressure as you descend will act just like inhaling
off the reg... it'll press the diaphragm and pop the
valve open. Conversely, upon ascent the expanding air
in the system will bleed out through the one-way
exhale valve on the reg.

motor pods at ambient pressure.
But, obviously, a standard scuba reg only delivers
the air when you instigate a drop in pressure by
breathing in. I assume i need to use the diaphram
to balance external water pressure and the internal
air pressure of the motor pod.
I assume the reg has to be modified/adjusted to
achieve this?
