In addition to buy these stainless steel fittings cheap on eBay, you could
also get them for free by stripping discarded pipework (but it's probably
best to ask someone at the yard if it's OK you do so).

Now, all you then have to do, is to go buy some plastic sticks full of
spare ferrule rings.

** Get Swagelok fittings on eBay. I got myself some shoe boxes of assorted
** Swagelok fittings years ago that were priced by the pound [...]
