Hugh,Thanks for the reference. I also see that in Stachiw Figure 11.100 it shows 1/2 inch bolts. In regards to the safety factor for the bolts, how is that calculated? Is it determined by calculating the total area pressure on the spherical segment, dividing by total number of bolts and then multiplying by 4?
